Ensure prompt attendance to all allocated aircraft arrival/departures with the intent to maximize the opportunities during ground time and avoid operational delays/disruptions. COST CONTROL: Ensure all off-aircraft tasks i.e. spares handling, robberies, hold items...etc. are handled strictly IAW Company procedures and all the relevant paperwork is actioned in a way that provides full transparency to all involved. Determine that any tooling/equipment used is serviceable and appropriate for the task and should be able to understand and use specialized tooling where required. Robbery procedures used as a method to reduce costs and ensure a right-first-time pocket of good practice is formulated to ensure costs are reduced by avoiding multiple attempts to rectify defects. This includes completion of the necessary documentation including all relevant information that will allow rectification of defects by concerned sections through short-term maintenance planning. Additional reviews of all other activities/actions must be performed to allow process improvements to be implemented as necessary. HR REVIEWS: Responsible for conducting performance reviews for staff under their direct control through the fair and just application of the Performance Matters! tool. Deficiencies or inability to meet objectives/competencies must be highlighted during interim reviews and an agreed course of action implemented to improve/correct any issues identified. ORGANISATION CHART

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Maintenance of External Landscape & Horticulture works at the entire IGI Airport premises. Planning and ensuring the top quality garden maintenance activities are employed with regard to the scheduled cutting, pruning & cleaning of the grass, ground cover and shrubs area and seasonal flowers plantation in the entire area.
2. Managing Internal plants maintenance works at Passenger Terminal Buildings, New Udaan Bhawan, Sr. Management offices, New Shakti Bhawan : Drive proper maintenance of plants and other landscape features at the increased areas in addition to the Terminal Buildings. This largely includes watering, cleaning, nourishment, pest & disease control and timely replacement of deteriorated plants.
3. Operation and Maintenance of the Irrigation system : Preparation of SOP and best service level agreement to ensure proper and efficient working of the irrigation system at the entire IGI premises.
4. Operation and Maintenance of the water features at IGIA : Establish and ensure timely and proper functioning of all the water features. Direction for all scheduled cleaning and preventive/break down maintenance activities as per SLA.
5. Government’s statutory requirement: Preparation of detailed report of the compensatory tree plantation all around Delhi and submitting the same to the Ministry of Forest & Environment. Attending regular meeting and liaising with them in order to comply any plantation compliance.
6.Beautification of the Aerocity Hospitality district: Design review and execution of the project for the Landscaping and automatic Irrigation system in the 52 Acres of area. Scheduled and sustainable maintenance of the newly developed Landscape area after project completion (after 18-24 months)
7.Operation of Horticulture Nursery- Ensure nurturing of Plants returned from Terminal Buildings. Propagation of new Plants, development of seasonal, bulbous and other Flowering Pots. Ensuring proper maintenance of Nursery infrastructure viz. Green Houses, Cooling system, irrigation system.
8.Additional Landscape development works at new area and modification in the existing area : As and when required or instructed, new landscape development at any other area at airport including the plan, design, BOQ preparation and works execution.
9.Completion of the work before deadline and within the approved budget.
10.Team building including training for the own and contractor’s staff , learning & development: Identification of training and development needs of the landscape team. Beside for own team ,ensuring training session for contractor’s staff as well.

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS


  • Meeting with Govt agencies such as ministry of Forest & Environment, Ministry of Agriculture in order to comply with any statutory requirement or getting approval.
  • Interaction with CISF for necessary approval & safety compliance related to Indoor and external landscape maintenance works.

In addition to the above, I am working on the project execution strategy including strengthening our team for the new project development and sustainable maintenance afterwards.
